It’s a sad day for NSA Fastpitch. Long‑time Assistant State Director, Dale Gellner, passed away this morning, May 18th.
For 30 years, Dale didn’t just support girls fastpitch—he protected it, nurtured it, and made sure it stayed a place where kids could grow, compete, and belong. His impact wasn’t loud or flashy. It was the kind that lasts because it was built on consistency, kindness, and genuine love for the sport. Now, as we say goodbye, the fields feel a little quieter and the mornings feel a little emptier. The legacy he leaves behind—every athlete he encouraged, every coach he supported, every family he welcomed—will echo for decades. Dale will be truly missed and more importantly, he will be remembered.
Exciting changes are coming to NSA Fastpitch! Dale and I will be stepping into the bullpen and passing the game ball to Casey Saxon (Zachry), who will be taking charge of running all the tournaments with her talented team. While we won’t be out of the picture entirely, as we'll still be supporting her through this transition, we’re confident she’s going to do an amazing job. We're incredibly excited to see what she brings to the table and are looking forward to the next chapter with Casey leading the way!
Reserving a spot in a tournament
Coaches, if you'd like to reserve a spot in a tournament, please be sure to contact the tournament director. Keep in mind that your spot won’t be finalized until payment is received. If payment and team sanction numbers are not received one month (or earlier if the tourney deadline is more than 30days) prior to the tournament, your spot will be dropped and made available to the next team. Make sure to get your payments in on time to secure your spot!
Tournament policies
Any team that drops out after brackets have been posted will forfeit their entry fee.
Rain Out: If a tournament gets completely rained out the director may keep up to $25 per team for administration fees. Mid tournament rainouts will be refunded based on percentage of games played.
